The basis of lottery sense is common sense.
The person that has a lottery sense understands the following "lottery truths" and plays accordingly:
(1) The lottery is an entertaining passtime, not the road to assured riches.
(2) The vast majority of lottery players will spend far more money playing the lottery than they will ever win from the lottery.
(3) One should never spend the grocery money, the utility money, the car payment or the house payment playing the lottery. Those that do so are the biggest losers.
(4) The lotteries with the biggest payouts also have the worst odds of winning and visa-versa.
(5) There is no method, system or trick to beat the lottery. If there were, there would be no lottery.
(6) One can increase their odds of winning only by purchasing more lottery tickets, selecting better number combinations or a combination of the two.
(7) For most, lottery is a game of chance and not a game of skill.
(8) Some lottery players are lucky, most are not.
(9) For every big lottery win there are millions of small losses.
(10) Playing the lottery is gambling, do not risk more than you can afford to lose.
